Celine through the eyes of the world trailer

Celine through the eyes of the world trailer

Well done, Sony. Well done. I purchased the BDP N460 in early February 2010 and have had it seven months now. Movies seem almost as if you are looking through a window. The picture is amazing. Functionality is great, in fact I utilize the Netflix streaming function more than anything else. I have only experienced a buffering stall one time and it was only a second or two. I have a 3 Mb cable internet package and have a wired connection from my router to the BDP. Works fine, but the interface could use some polish my husband likes to watch music videos on YouTube, but I find the interface clunky and annoying. Perhaps this can be improved with a future software update. I have yet to try it. Signed up today and will update review after I get around to trying it. I have looked at Epicurious and some of the other online streaming content. I think most of it is just OK because searching and navigation with a remote is cumbersome at best. I am sure there is plenty of interesting content, but finding it is too much of a chore. I suspect this is probably because streaming to television is still in its infancy. Hopefully, as streaming to TV becomes more mainstream, players and sites hosting content will update their interfaces to make it easier and more intuitive for users to to find relevant video content without the benefit of a keyboard and mouse. Purchased this SONY player from Amazon, discounted and with a promo coupon, for 00! I received it within TWO days on standard order-one of the many reasons I LOVE Amazon! It works flawlessly-loads and plays quickly and does everything I expect it to, celine through the eyes of the world trailer it matches my SONY surround system unit, an added bonus. I am not a full blown tech head outside of just loving audio-video electronics, and I learned long ago that nitpicking everything you buy just leads to a state of chronic disatisfaction, so I am easily pleased with most things. That said, and in spite of my general high satisfaction with this unit, there is room for improvement with the internet feature. In comparing this to my bedroom PANASONIC blu-ray player and my new big screen TV, both with internet connectivity, the menu on this Sony needs revision. The way it displays NETFLIX is inconvenient and harder to read celine through the eyes of the world trailer of the grid used for available movies. Plus, it celine through the eyes of the world trailer the movie for streaming in a 3 step process which feels slow. Both my other player and my TV load them in 1 step, as well as much faster. Until now, I thought the NETFLIX display was standardized because the appearance is virtually the same on both my other units, but the SONY is different, and unfortunately it s NOT better. It s also not a very big deal, just a matter of preference. Other than this, a great player, especially at the price. Netflix playback was jerky and unwatchable on our Sony BRAVIA TV, but turning off the CineMotion feature solved the problem for both SD and HD Netflix video playback. The Netflix user interface on this unit is not as nice as on the Roku or the PS For example, you can t browse for new movies; you can only view your Netflix Instant queue. On other Netflix players, when you rewind or fast-forward you get snapshot previews along the way, but with this player it only shows you the time with no way to tell when to stop. Sorry, I couldn t resist the wordplay with squeamish. This player just wouldn t run Netflix properly; the picture would freeze again and again as it stopped streaming to rebuild its buffer displaying the message: Loading. sometimes every minute or so. After support calls to Sony, Netflix and Comcast, I returned it and purchased an LG BD-550, which runs Netflix almost perfectly. The problem was clearly with the BDP-N460 although my new LG will occasionally rebuffer when my network download speed drops to around 3-4 Mbps. So, if Netflix is important to you, I d avoid this unit. Great Product I ve been using Sony products for over 20 years. Never had a problem with any DVD, CD player, of surround system I ve had. So a Sony Blu-ray player was the next logical step. Great buy for the money! I have this connected to my Sony Bravia TV via HDMI. Having never used another bluray player I can t compare. But I can say that upconversion of newer films is awful.
