The lion in winter part 1

So i see at least one more the lion in winter part 1 format which will be backwards compatible with Blu Ray and probably DVD. Bluray will not be the last format. Many of us who play PC games on high end systems know that resolutions higher than 1080p are achievable with current games. You can play games in HD PLUS resolution. Likewise, the movie industry will also take advantage of this technology as HD Plus camera equipment, and televisions are developed. However to the eye, this increase in resolution may not be noticable after a certain point, Secondly movies will not shift to digital download only. As of June 30th 2009, there are 70 million broadband users in the USA. Making a shift to entirely digital download will limit the profit that companies can make. Until the vast majority of the US population gets broadband, we will continue to see movies on tangible media. Secondly, we had all seen the staying power of CDs. Having something tangible, which you can hold and appreciate in your hands is satisfying, and digital downloads will not be able to replace that. Your June 2009 stat is a little out of date to be fair. I think that Blu-ray MAY be the last physical media, being replaced by Digital Download and Streaming, but if it were to be replaced, something like Ultra Definition or whatever it would be called may take over. It would be 4k, which is in theory about the highest resolution worth jumping to. The biggest reason that may not the lion in winter part 1 though is due to the size limitation of televisions. My thoughts on that stem from viewing HD content on a smaller you lose the effects of having it in HD when the TV is too small, and the effects of 1080p only really become apparent when the TV breaks the 42 sizes. 4K on the other hand might I have no experience, and this is purely speculation not really be noticeably better until you make it to the 65 sizes which is unrealistic for many homes. Of course there will always be the home theater purists who want an image as close to theater size as possible, and for those people UD would be very desirable, but I dont see it happening for the standard user and in turn making HD the last major media. With all that said though, the only reason I dont yet buy into streaming for all my content is because streaming has yet to bring forward the special features available on a disc or the true high def content. Right now Netflix HD cant compete with Blu-ray for picture quality. When streaming provides every special feature you can get on a disc and a truly comparable image/audio experience, then I can see Blu-ray dying out. All times are GMT The time now is 06:43 AM. For those who couldnt get enough of SHREK, HAPPILY NEVER AFTER supplies a similar take on fairy-tale traditions. Set in Fairy Tale Land, this comedy features the heroes and villains of stories from Rumplestiltskin to Sleeping Beauty. The job of the wizard George Carlin is to ensure everyone has happy endings. But when he leaves on vacation, he entrusts his tasks to his inept assistants, and Cinderellas evil stepmother Sigourney Weaver begins to wreak havoc on the endings of fairy tales. Though shes interested in menace in general, the lion in winter part 1 particularly wants her stepdaughter, Ella Sarah Michelle Gellar, to suffer. She vows to keep her from Prince Charming Patrick Warburton, much to the delight of his servant, Rick Freddie Prinze, Jr. , who is in love with Ella himself. HAPPILY NEVER AFTER takes aim at the stories everyone knows by heart. Here Prince Charming needs a guidebook to behave like royalty, with Warburton fashioning a delightfully doltish contrast to traditional romantic heroes. Character actor Jon Polito plays a big bad wolf who could have been an extra on GOODFELLAS. As the wicked stepmother, Weaver turns decades of experience playing strong women into portraying this archetypal baddie. With its celebrity voices, HAPPILY NEVER AFTER is an amusing reversal of Disneys fairy-tale films of the past.
